MILLWORK PROJECT MANAGER
Responsible for the coordination and oversight of various millwork projects, including providing a liaison between clients and company personnel, establishing schedules, ensuring materials purchase, production, and installation, directing drafting activities, and performing other similar duties, primarily those related to the completion of contracted projects.
Oversee and coordinate various millwork projects: liaison with architects/general contractors; establish critical path schedule for all projects; consult with other staff to develop schedules for production of shop drawings; materials purchases; shop production and delivery, confirm bid estimates with actual job specifications, and follow-up on any discrepancies as needed; responsible for field measurements and coordination, and relay to the appropriate personnel monitor project progress; stay up to date on plan changes, completion dates, delay penalties, extension provisions, and so on; submit detailed drawings and schedules Summarize change order information and ensure proper handling. Ensure that the installation contractor(s) have the necessary insurance certificates and forms. Experience required: 10 years+
CABINET MAKER
Cabinet makers are responsible for the design and construction of cabinets, furniture, and other wood products. They use a variety of tools and techniques to create these items, including power saws, routers, sanders, and more.
Job Responsibilities
Construct and assemble cabinet components, making sure that all pieces fit the dimensions specified by the foreman and client
Verify and double check all calculations to ensure alignment of doors, hinges and side panels, always using blueprints or design plans for reference
Clean and repair all equipment necessary for your work, including handsaws, table saws, skill saws, and a variety of drills and sanding tools
Be exact in measurements and markings so that materials will be used efficiently and the projects will meet budgetary restrictions
Install the appropriate hardware, such as hinges and handles, and order replacement materials when needed
Match materials and grains to create a uniform appearance for all the matching units
Reinforce joints and attachments to maximize sturdiness and durability without compromising aesthetic appeal or functionality
Maintain a safe working environment by cleaning and disposing of old materials, such as nails and screws
Job Skills & Qualifications
Reqiured:
Must have experience in reading drawings.
Understanding of necessary mathematics
Knowledge of materials and processing
Applicable engineering and design skills
Attention to detail
Preferred:
High school diploma or equivalent
Five or more years of cabinetmaking experience
